KUWAIT, March 12 (KUNA) -- 1957 -- The Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, issues an Amiri Decree over land ownership regulation.
1958 -- The Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, inaugurates an extension at the Ahmadi refinery.
1962 -- Kuwait inaugurates its embassy in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
1964 -- Guinea's first ambassador to Kuwait presents his credentials to the Amir, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
1969 -- Iraq's first ambassador to Kuwait presents his credentials to the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
1984 -- The Amir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, inaugurates the Entertainment City, built at a cost of KD 30 million. The facility is in Doha, northwest of Kuwait City.
1995 -- Kuwait Union for Asphalt Producers is recognized.
2000 -- The Goodwill Projects Foundation is established, with the aim of providing charity, donations, and scholarships for those in need in Kuwait and in Arab and Islamic countries.
2001 -- An American F-18 plane drops, by error, a 227 kilo bomb during joint exercises at Adaira'a area by the Kuwaiti, American, and British forces, killing five Americans and one New Zealander and injuring five Americans and two Kuwaitis.
2001 -- Faisal Sarkho, Kuwait's squash champion, wins the Swiss Open.
2005 -- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issues a decision on gathering unlicensed weapons in the possession of the public. An authority to handle this matter is set up under the Interior Ministry's Criminal Investigations Department.
2005 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah lays the corner stone of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Ardhiya. The four-storey establishment is to cost KD 55.25 million and seat for 60,000 spectators. The project is executed by Al-Kharafi Group.
2008 -- Health Minister Abdullah Al-Taweel inaugurates Jassem Al-Wazzan Health Center in Mansouriya. (end) ema KUNA 120901 Mar 10NNNN
