777 is the main emergency services phone number, but remember that although they do their best to get to the scene of an accident on time, the huge amount of traffic on the roads can make this very difficult. Also there have been stories circulating that sometimes nobody picks up the phone when the number's dialled. If this should happen, then try phoning the ambulance service nearest to you. Dial 888 830 to file Police report or to request investigator

The Public Department for Investigations in the Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the new 888 830 hotline, to be called in case of filing police reports, or the unavailability of investigators at the required police station.
In a press release made available to KUNA, the department said that these efforts come amidst strict instructions from Minister of Interior Sheikh Jaber Al-Khaled Al-Sabah. Sheikh Jaber Al-Khalid, previously ordered to shift all Public Investigators from the Investigation Department building, to the various police departments in the country.
