OK.. It's like this... here we are following the law. The night before the anti-talking on the cell phone in the car law came into effect, us law abiding citizens all went out and dutifully bought hands free equipment for our phones. Mine cost more than 12 KD! It was one of those usb types, and I felt like it was important that I got it. I couldn't have stood it to go around flouting the law with my phone on my ear.

For the first week, maybe two, it was a rare occasion when you would see a person with a phone held in their hand while driving.

So what the heck happened? In the past two or three days I have seen gazillions of people with phone to ear, not even trying to hide it! Leaning into the window of their car.. (the window on the police cruiser side of their car), and yapping away! What tha hay?

Am i confused or doesn't anyone care about that law any more?
